Annapurna Base Camp Trek
A stone staircase through rhododendron forest into a natural amphitheatre of 7,000 and 8,000-metre peaks. The perfect first Himalayan trek.

Nepal's perfect short trek: rhododendron forests, Gurung and Magar villages, and a world-famous sunrise over Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
If you have a spare handful of days in Nepal, spend them here. The Poon Hill loop climbs old stone staircases through some of the country's loveliest villages to a 3,210 m viewpoint where two 8,000-metre ranges, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, catch fire at dawn.
It is the trek we recommend to families, first-timers and anyone short on time but hungry for real mountains. In spring the whole route blooms red with rhododendron; in winter it is crisp, quiet and utterly clear.
This is our tried-and-tested general plan. After our first chat we fine-tune every day around your dates, group, pace and fitness, and send you a dedicated, real-time itinerary that matches your trip exactly.
Travelling with children or grandparents? This is our most requested family route. We simply add a day and shorten the stages. Tell us the ages and we will send a gentler version of this plan.

The bucket-list classic: subtropical valleys to high desert, Tibetan-Buddhist villages, and the mighty Thorong La pass to sacred Muktinath.

A ridge walk straight at the Fishtail: mossy cloud forest, tiny lodges, and a base-camp sunrise that still feels like a local secret.
