About Reet Trails

Built by mountain people, for real journeys

We grew up in the shadow of the Himalaya, where trekking is not a holiday, it is a way of life passed down through generations.

Our story

The people who know these mountains best

Reet Trails grew out of a simple belief. The people who know these mountains best should be the ones sharing them with the world.

Over the years we watched travellers arrive full of excitement but sometimes let down by rushed schedules, unsafe pacing or hidden charges. We knew Nepal deserved better, and so did every traveller who came to see it.

So we built Reet Trails around three promises. Guide with real local knowledge, put safety and honesty first, and make sure our trips give back to the mountain communities we come from. When you trek with us you are not booking a package, you are joining a team that treats your journey as personally as our own.

Our mission

Share the Himalaya safely, honestly and sustainably

To create unforgettable journeys for our guests while supporting the guides, porters and communities who make them possible.

  • Safety without compromise. Your wellbeing shapes every decision we make on the trail.
  • Honesty in everything. Clear pricing, realistic advice and no overselling, ever.
  • Respect for mountains and people. Responsible tourism is built into how we work, not added on top.
  • Genuine hospitality. In Nepal we say Atithi Devo Bhava, the guest is divine. We mean it.

Our team

Licensed guides, strong porters, one caring crew

Behind every Reet Trails journey is a team of licensed guides, experienced porters and a dedicated office crew who plan, coordinate and stay on call throughout your trip.

Our guides hold government trekking licenses and wilderness first aid training, speak fluent English and often more languages, and carry years of experience on the exact routes they lead.

Responsible and sustainable

Leaving the Himalaya better than we found it

The mountains have given us everything. Protecting them, and the communities that live in them, is central to how we work.

  • For our people. Fair wages, insurance, proper equipment and sensible load limits. Our guides and porters are family, not labour.
  • For the environment. We cut single use plastic, encourage refillable bottles, carry out our waste and follow leave no trace on every trail.
  • For local communities. We stay in locally owned teahouses, hire local staff and put a share of what we earn back into the villages we pass through.
